Gio Ponti has always drawn throughout his life, and has placed his art in multiple fields.
For the 1957 Triennale he built a prefabricated house and filled it with objects of his own invention. Luna was one of those objects... but it remained only a prototype until 2017. Experimentation with new materials was the basis of Ponti's work: the thermoforming of plastic allowed him to give life to this object which, for the era, it was very futuristic.
The handle allows you to move Luna for new home configurations, a feature so dear to the designer.

The outdoor collection called Dome Nomad is inspired by the domes of Venice. Dome Nomad is an outdoor lamp whose dome shape represents the eternity and vastness of the celestial vault. The dome shape of the blown glass section is available in two variations: smooth clear glass or wavy clear glass. Dome Nomad is a portable and rechargeable outdoor lamp, whose lines wink at Italian architecture. The delicate light passes through an opal diffuser and the glass lampshade of the same name. The Dome Nomad collection complies with IP44 technological and safety standards for outdoor lighting. The simple design features refined stainless steel finished with an eco-friendly powder coating for exceptional resistance to the elements. The LED source can withstand freezing temperatures. To create the glass lampshade, multiple layers of molten glass are used and each of them is subjected to maximum control by the master glassmakers before being blown into the mold.

Dome Nomad is a new portable lamp that can be easily lifted via a metal ring attached to the top of the glass dome, with a hand under the base, which houses the electronics and a magnetic charging connector. Dome Nomad can be placed on a table or on the floor. It is a design experience that adds a special charm to both gardens and terraces and interior spaces.
